The Artist’s Assistant

MakeMore is a virtual assistant business for the artist. I started this as a way to help other creatives free up time and achieve their goals.


I was working 30 hours a week while also trying to balance my acting career - only to feel burnt out and isolated from my creative soul. I didn’t have enough time to send all the emails, attend all the events, book in with mentors or meet the deadlines - and I found myself unable to do the thing I cared about the most: my art.

Like so many artists out there, I found it impossible to balance my 9-to-5, admin work and the creative side all at once. We find ourselves having to be our own publicist, manager, booking agent, marketing agent and assistant - I’m here to tell you you don’t have to do it alone.

Networking is something we know we should do - and yet we fear it often more than anything else. As your VA I can take on the load of industry reach out, gather contacts and information, transcribe meeting notes and manage communication.

Organisation and flow

Keeping track of projects, files, and deadlines is crucial. I can help you implement systems and tools to simplify your workflow, organise digital files, archive old projects and ensure current projects progress smoothly from idea to finished product.

  • Step 1 / Onboarding

    Through our introductory meeting (30 minutes) you will receive a Welcome Package, discuss your needs and goals, and lay a plan for the upcoming month.

  • Step 2 / Working together

    Each week we check in to ensure your expectations are met, our juices are flowing and your mind is freed.

  • Step 3 / Reaping your sowed oats

    See how your attitude and relationship to your art grows and flourishes when you are allowed to focus on what is important to you.

My Packages

  • General Admin

    You would like to offload the boring responsibilities. Includes, but is not limited to: Email and Google Calendar management, invoice organising, expense/income tracking, post schedules.

    10hr/month: £250

    20hr/month: £500

  • Specialty Package

    Your needs extend the general admin and you would like a tailor made service, just for you. Based on your needs, this package includes, but is not limited to: industry research, audio transcription, video subtitling, cross-platform content posting, industry cold emails, licensing reach out, proof reading.

    15hrs/month: £450

    25hrs/month: £750

  • Creative Package

    For those who want support in the creative aspect of their art. Billed monthly, or as individual 1 hr sessions. Includes, but is not limited to: Video editing (short and long form), copy writing, audio editing, script editing, essay/short story feedback, audition prep, character work mentorship.

    1 hrs: £40

    5 hrs: £200

    10hrs: £400

  • Digital Streamline Package

    Is your inbox a mess? Do you have only unnamed files scattered on your desktop or dropbox and too many photos in your camera roll? This package is for those who want a clear system to simplify their process, but need help finding and maintaining it. Example work: Hard drive organising, folder management, archiving (text, photos and videos), equipment tracking, inventory management.

    We’ll work out a timeline that suits you, but it will not exceed 4 weeks total.

    One off payment: £500

FAQ

  • What makes you qualified to be an assistant?

    I have a BA from one of the UK’s top drama schools, and industry training from being a freelance actor / creative for 2+ years. I have a good understanding of what the artist needs in order to succeed. From my recent role I also have experience in creating long term organisational systems and solutions for brands and businesses, which I implement effectively and creatively into my role as an assistant.

  • Do you do refunds or cancellations?

    Unfortunately I offer no refunds after the completed service, as this is an hourly wage based business and not a service based one. If for any reason you are not satisfied with our collaboration I am more than willing to address your concerns and find a good solution.

    I understand your needs may change, and I therefore offer a flexible cancellation service. Please provide me with at least 14 days notice before the start of services. If you want to cancel our collaboration in the middle of a working period, you are able to do so - and I will refund you the equivalent to your remaining hours (£50 cancellation fee.)

  • Do you do in-person work?

    As I am based in London, I am only available for in person appointments in London. In person appointments can be: System development and organising studio, in-person assistance on film sets or in theatres, audition prep sessions and self tape filming, gallery preparation and market handling - and more!

  • Can I request short term help or one time projects?

    Absolutely! I assist festival boards and individuals, filmmakers and directors for one off projects etc. Your service fee will depend on the scale of your project / request, so please feel free to contact me if you have a project in mind.

  • Can I request a rolling monthly contract?

    Of course! Some clients need more long term help, and like the stability of an assistant they know over a longer period f time. If you’d like a set amount of hours each month, I will invoice once a month until termination of contract.

  • Are your services available to me if I'm located outside the UK?

    I work entirely online, and as long as we both have wifi or a way to communicate - then of course! However, do keep in mind that all bills and payments will be in pounds.
